Northdale Baptist Church is a firm believer in missions support. We currently support the following missions with our prayers and finances.

Feed The Kids

One of the devastating realities is that New Mexico is no stranger to poverty. As a matter of fact we are #1 in the nation for food insecurity.  Now, that is not the #1 that we want to be. Food insecurity causes anxiety and fear. Not to mention kids have difficulty staying focused when they are hungry.  There is a saying… “An empty stomach has no ears.”  Because no child should be hungry, Northdale Baptist is happy to be a part of “Feed The Kid’s”.

Feed The Kids is a grass-roots volunteer program that exists through the partnerships of local churches in the Albuquerque area.  Northdale Baptist Church is currently serving in an elementary school in our community where some of the kids have been identified as having little or no food at home.  Our members shop, pack, and deliver food bags each week so that kids in need will have something to eat over the weekends when a school meal is not available.

How to get involved:

• Write a check for $30 dollars which will provide food for one child each weekend of the month.
• Request a food items list and go shopping and bring food items to the church or call us and we’ll arrange to pick it up.
• Become part of a packing team and help put bags together to be delivered to the school.

The Rock at Noonday    

Northdale Baptist Church is a partner of Noonday Ministries through prayer and financial support. Some of our members serve as volunteers at The Rock at Noonday. This ministry was founded in 1982 to help meet the needs of homeless individuals and families. The mission at The Rock at Noon Day is to go out of business. By “Building Hope One Person At A Time,” we sincerely hope that one day, no person will be hungry, lacking shelter, or without basic provisions. But, until that day comes, we will strive to help God’s homeless children by providing nourishing meals, spiritual guidance, and many other essential services. www.noondayministries.org

Care Net         

Is a non-profit organization that supports a network of over 800 pregnancy resource centers in the United States and Canada. These centers offer free pregnancy tests, peer counseling, post-abortion support and other practical help to empower women and men facing pregnancy related concerns. Northdale supports this ministry through prayer and material donations such as diapers, handmade baby quilts, and clothing items. In addition we contribute financial support by participating in carenets annual walk for life. www.care-net.org

Southern Baptist Convention > The Cooperative Program

Northdale Baptist Church, as a member of the Baptist Convention of New Mexico, supports missions in our Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and all the world through the Cooperative Program. Since its inception in 1845, the Southern Baptist Convention has always had one mission—the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20). Since its launch in 1925, the effectiveness of the Cooperative Program has been dependent upon individuals, churches, state conventions, and SBC entities cooperating, working toward a common goal of sharing the gospel with every person on the planet. Joy Junction

Is a shelter providing both emergency and longer-term food, shelter, clothing, transportation, and counseling for homeless men, women and families. It is the largest shelter of its kind in the state, with a capacity for accommodating more than 150 people each day.  Northdale supports this ministry through prayer and material donations. www.joyjunction.org

The Gideons International     

The Gideons International serves as an extended missionary arm of the church: Our sole purpose is to win men, women, boys and girls to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ through association for service, personal testimony, and distributing the Bible in the human traffic lanes and streams of everyday life. We are proud that some of our Northdale members are active Gideons. Northdale also supports the Gideons by hosting guest speakers and taking up special offerings to support the Gideon ministry. www.gideons.org
